Peru's economy is both
good and bad for their country. There is an abundant source of mineral resources found in the mountainous areas of Peru.
Also, Peru's coastal waters provide excellent fishing grounds. However, overdependence on these items often hurt
Peru in world prices. If Peru lacks in production of minerals, fish, or other items, it hurts the country's place in
world trade and investment. Therefore, since Peru has to rely on the finding and selling of valuable mineral
resources and fish from the ocean waters, it makes their economy very unstable. When these items are in abundance and prices
are up, the economy of Peru is usually very good.
